If you're a regular visitor to Walt Disney World, you're probably familiar with the cherished holiday tradition of Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. This festive event takes place on select nights in November and December at Magic Kingdom, running from 7 p.m. to midnight. The party, which requires a separate ticket, begins after the park closes to the public at 6:00 p.m. It features themed entertainment, exclusive merchandise, and a variety of seasonal treats. Throughout the night, you’ll even experience "snowfall" on Main Street!

If you're planning to be in the park before 4 p.m., you'll need a regular theme park admission. However, if you have a party ticket, you don’t need to leave the park. Simply pick up your wristband at designated locations inside, allowing you to stay and enjoy the festivities. Upon entering, guests will receive a wristband and a complimentary ornament. Be sure to grab a party map, which provides event details and highlights all the exciting offerings throughout the night. To get into the spirit, consider wearing a cozy Disney Christmas sweater and a pair of themed Mickey ears—it's perfect for photos and staying warm while you take in all the holiday cheer!

Pricing

Ticket prices vary depending on the date and the number of people in your party. Prime dates and weekends tend to be priced higher. As a general rule, tickets are less expensive earlier in the holiday season, though the first event of the season can be more expensive due to high demand. Guests over 10 years old are considered adults, and children ages 3-9 typically pay about $10 less per ticket. Children 2 and under do not require a ticket for the event.

Holiday Eats & Treats

For a sit-down meal at Magic Kingdom or a nearby resort, it’s best to eat early, around 4 p.m. If you can’t eat that early, a few quick-service options, such as Casey’s Corner or Pecos Bill Café, will remain open during the party. However, we recommend having a hearty meal before the party so you can fully enjoy all the exclusive treats, complimentary cookies, and hot cocoa available throughout the event! The Christmas party is a food lover's dream! Here are some must-try treats:

  • Chocolate Eggnog Reindeer at Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn & Café

  • Chicken Tamale at Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn & Café

  • Holiday Waffle Sundae at Sleepy Hollow

  • Funnel Cake at Sleepy Hollow

  • Free Cookies and Drinks available at various quick-service locations so pick them up as you go!

Must-See Shows & Parades

By far, our favorite part of the night is Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade, it features dancing nutcrackers, gingerbread men, reindeer, and Santa, along with your favorite Disney characters. The floats are beautifully decorated, and you can even smell Clarabelle Cow’s delicious holiday cooking as the parade passes by! The entertainment at Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party is part of what makes it unforgettable! Don’t miss these festive highlights:

3 Quick Tips for a Magical Experience

  1. Catch the Second Parade

If you can, watch the second parade of the night. The first parade is usually more crowded with families, so the second parade offers a more relaxed experience. For the best view, try to watch from Frontierland, where the parade starts. That way, you'll see it from the beginning without waiting for it to travel the entire route to Main Street.

  2. Mobile Order Your Food

Take advantage of mobile ordering to save time! For example, Cosmic Ray’s allows you to order food ahead of time. I ordered from my phone at home for a 7:30 p.m. pick-up, and I only waited five minutes to grab my meal—compared to a 20-minute wait in the regular line. Mobile ordering is a great way to maximize your party time!

  3. Arrive at 4 PM

With a party ticket, you can enter the park as early as 4 p.m. — so make the most of it! I arrived right at 4 p.m. to meet characters, which gave me plenty of time to check in and avoid the crowds. For example, the wait to meet Jack and Sally later in the night was over 120 minutes, so arriving early makes a huge difference!
